Optimum Trailer and Boat Storage

In the Summer, nothing is more exciting than being able to take a vacation. And when you can stay in your own trailer, sail on your own boat it just makes it even better! But when the cooler weather comes, you need to find a good place to store your home away from home. Sure you could just park it in your yard or driveway, but not only is that not the most eye catching way to decorate your house, but your dream boat can also get in the way. Trailers and boats take up a lot of room – room that you could be using for your vehicles or even just extra space. When you decide it’s time to store your boat or trailer, check out Party Barn! We have just the place to keep your recreational vehicle.

Enclosed Storage and Peace of Mind

Many people view their boats and RVs as investments. Obviously, they will still want to use them when they go on vacations. Of course, a home is an investment as well, so investments can certainly have a wide range of practical uses. When people make use of enclosed storage, they will be able to protect their boats and RVs in a way that is truly appropriate for investments of all kinds.

Enclosed Storage and Peace of Mind

Storage Options

Uncovered storage is a great option for many people. However, there are other people who really will only feel comfortable if they have access to enclosed storage when they’re trying to maintain their RVs and boats. Party Barn Boat & RV Storage has options for covered, uncovered, and enclosed storage available, so people will be able to choose what works for them.

Enclosed storage protects boats and RVs from sunlight, snow, rain, and many other factors related to the weather. When it comes to vehicles and other forms of property, some aspects of deterioration are absolutely preventable. Both enclosed and covered storage can help to keep boats and RVs new for an extended period of time.

Choosing the Best Option

Many people might feel better if they’ve picked covered or enclosed storage for their RVs or boats. They might feel as if they’re protecting their investments more effectively. All vehicles will eventually break down over time but having some control over the rate at which vehicles age can make all the difference in the world for a lot of people. Covered, uncovered, and enclosed storage are all good options. For some people, enclosed storage might be a particularly good choice.

3 Options for Storing Your RV

Looking for a place to store your RV trailer between trips? There are a number of options available, and they all have pros and cons. Let’s go through them, one by one.

4 Options for Storing Your RV

At Your Home

You can store your trailer at your home. It doesn’t cost anything, but it comes with many cons. Most people don’t have room in their garage, which means that you’ll have to store it outside. The problem with this is that there is no security, especially when you’re not home. In addition, it can be an eyesore and annoy your neighbors. Besides, there may be zoning laws preventing you from parking it on the street.

Uncovered Storage

Uncovered storage at a trailer storage facility is a very popular way of storing RVs. It’s pretty cheap and convenient, and you have access to your RV whenever you want. The storage area is protected by a security gate, so your RV is safe. The downside is that your RV will be exposed to the elements, including rain.

Covered Storage

Covered storage is also outdoor storage, but your RV will be covered overhead. This protects it from most weather elements, especially during the summer. It doesn’t protect it from things like wind, moisture, and insects, but you can always prevent damage by using insect screens, ventilating your RV to prevent moisture buildup and so on. It’s a good compromise between outdoor and indoor storage.

Camper Storage 101: Preparation Tips

Are you thinking about storing your camper this season? Before you lock the doors and leave our lot, make sure you’ve checked the following tips on camper storage to ensure your adventure vehicle will be in top shape when you return:

Camper Storage 101: Preparation Tips

  • Charge up the batteries.  Batteries will lose charge over time, so it’s best to ensure they are at a high level to prevent them from going bad. You’ll want levels of at least 80% (it’s a good idea to check them with a hydrometer or voltmeter once a month if possible). Also, inspect the electrolyte levels and add distilled water if low.
  • Clean up the batteries and their terminals.  Another battery storage must is to ensure they are completely disconnected from your camper and to clean all terminals — you can use a simple baking soda and water mixture.
  • Drain all pipes and shut off all power.  You want to leave your RV in completely dry conditions. Drain water from any water tanks and lines you have, shut off all propane tanks and shut off the main electrical breaker. If you have a refrigerator in your RV, make sure it has been completely defrosted and cleaned out. For best effects, leave its doors open while you’re away to promote air circulation.
  • Choose the right storage space.  An RV storage facility like ours ensures an extra level of security and protection that might be unavailable in your driveway or backyard (plus it’ll be out of your way!). You can choose to either park it on our open log, covered parking, or in an enclosed storage space.

If you need help with any of these tips, don’t be shy and ask us! We’re more than happy to work with you to ensure your camper is safe and secure before you leave the premises. Contact us to learn more.

4 Advantages of Covered Storage

If you’re looking for the safest option when it comes to storing your expensive boat or RV, covered storage is the way to go. It protects your significant investment from the elements, prevents interior and exterior damage, provides invaluable peace of mind and helps preserve the environment, so you can enjoy the open road or water for years to come.

4 Advantages of Covered Storage

  • Sun Damage Prevention: When the harsh sun beats down, it can do irreversible damage to your stored boat or RV. Covered storage protects from the paint peeling, molding damage and interior fading caused by prolonged sun exposure and excessive heat.
  • Tire Damage Prevention: When RV and boat trailer tires are exposed to consistent heat and humidity changes, it can cause premature cracking. This is especially true when they’re stored for long periods of time. Covered storage makes tires less vulnerable and prevents pricey tire replacements down the road.
  • Security: Using covered storage for your boat or RV makes the risk of theft or vandalism next to zero. Covered facilities are secured 24 hours a day and help to ensure the absolute safety of your boat or RV.
  • Environment: Covered storage protects the earth and water from the oil and fuel leaks that come with RV and boat storage. Even a little leak can do a lot of damage, and covered storage helps protect the earth as well as your prized possession.

Covered Storage For Your Motor Vehicles

Sometimes life throws you a loop and you need to find storage for your vehicles. That can range from RVs to motorcycles, to ATVs, and boats. There are lots of circumstances that bring about the need for covered storage for your vehicles. Here are a few that are common at Party Barn Boat & RV Storage.

Covered Storage For Your Motor Vehicles

  • A Move: Sometimes people live in a place where they have the space to store these extra “toys” and when they have to move, they lose that ability. Whether it is an HOA that doesn’t allow them to park their RV or they simply don’t have enough space anymore, they have to find a new home for their vehicles.
  • A New Purchase: Often customers at Party Barn never intend to store their boat or RV at home. They knew they would be finding a storage solution for their boat or RV when they bought it.
  • The Eye Sore: Some people love their boats, RVs, and ATVs but simply don’t want to see them parked in their yard or driveway. Those vehicles are for adventures and don’t look good outside of their homes.
  • Apartment/Condo Living: Some of our customers live in apartments and still want to have a boat or RV. Just because they don’t have a place to park it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have one!

These are some common reasons people rent covered or uncovered storage for their vehicles at Party Barn Boat & RV Storage. If any of these situations applies to you, contact us today to see about renting a space to store your vehicles.

Perhaps your family is planning a wedding, family reunion or other event. The event was going to be held elsewhere, but there’s been a change in venue. Your property is perfect, except for the RV parked out back and the boat off to the side. The perfect way for you to be the hero is to rent an uncovered, outdoor storage area for a few days. Your boat and RV will be safely locked in and available for you anytime you are ready to take them home.

When You’re Moving

Moving, whether it’s across town, or across the country, is a tough task. There are so many things to do, inside and outside your old home, and the new one. Make life just a little bit easier during this difficult time and move your RV and boat into an uncovered temporary storage space. Once you get settled in to your new place, you can either take them home, or continue to store them.
